Gul is named after one of my favorite aunt's Gul Phuppu. Phuppu is what we call Father's sister in Urdu.
Gul Phuppu loved me so very much, and she showed that through food. Throughout my childhood & into adulthood, she'd make sure to make things I loved - waffles, gold fingers (a type of fried fritters), Mysore paak.
My Gul Phuppu had one of the loudest & deep belly laughter I have every heard. Generous with her love & hospitality was my Gul Phuppu. The Ishq Organic Rose Facial Toner is in her honor.
